Accessibility
Everyone's welcome here
Last updated: July 4, 2026
Bloom & Brew Café wants this site to work for everyone — however you browse, whatever you use to get here. We build it to be usable with a keyboard, a screen reader, or just a bigger cup of coffee and a squint.
What we aim for
We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as our standard. Accessibility is ongoing, not a one-time box — we test and improve as the site grows.
What we've built in
Semantic, structured HTML and a logical heading order; full keyboard operability with visible focus outlines; descriptive text for images; colour and contrast checked for readability; and respect for your system's "reduce motion" setting, so animations calm down automatically if you've asked your device for that.
The accessibility menu
Every page has an accessibility button in the lower-left corner. It lets you enlarge the text, raise the contrast, underline all links, pause motion, and switch to a plainer, more readable font — and it remembers your choices. It's an assist on top of the accessible build, not a substitute for it.
Where we may fall short
We're honest that no site is perfect, and this one is young. Some third-party content or a new feature may not yet meet our standard. If you hit a wall, please tell us — it's the fastest way we fix it.
